Teen Advisory Group Redux at Burnhamthorpe Library

This september the Burnhamthorpe T.A.G starts up once again!

The Burnhamthorpe library reopened after a large, many months long, complete renovation earlier this year. The renovation involved renewing the buildings interior and exterior and made room for our new community partners within the facility the Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood center!

So with our new library comes a new T.A.G. group!!!

What is T.A.G?

A Teen Advisory group helps the library in various ways through your volunteering, helping with creative and craft projects, teen book reviews and helping us determine what's hot and what's not in the "teen scene" of your community. A good library is all about the participation of it's readers and members and this includes YOU!!!

You have alot of power and a lot of say in what happens for teens at your library when you are part of a Teen advisory group because you are helping guide the vision and direction of your community library into what it will be be for today and tomorrow.

In the past the Burnhamthorpe library T.A.G. has accomplished alot of fun activities and programs for many different ages and demographics.

Our T.A.G. has been involved in organizing and taking part in book reviews and talks, online contests, arts and crafts, Jewelery making, a wild Wii weekend and an all day Manga Day extravaganza!!!

Our new T.A.G. promises even more fun, learning, leadership and community volunteering opportunities.

The date is Septmber 29th. The time is 6:00pm.
